Donation Received from the Ogawa Science and Technology Foundation
On Friday, October 31, 2025, a donation presentation ceremony was held in the Office of the President, where the Ogawa Science and Technology Foundation (Chairman: Dr. OGAWA Shinya) presented a donation to Gifu University.
This donation was made as part of the Foundation's 40th anniversary commemorative project, supporting the "Industry-Academia Collaboration Promotion Fund" within the Gifu University Fund.
Attending the ceremony from the Foundation were Chairman Ogawa, Executive Director HAYASHI Takahisa, and Mr. AICHI Kosuke. From Gifu University, President YOSHIDA Kazuhiro, Vice President WANG Zhigang, and Specially Appointed Professor HONDA Munechika were present.
During the ceremony, Chairman Ogawa spoke about the Foundation's 40-year history, its research grant activities, and his personal experiences and connections with Gifu University, including his time as Chair of the University Cooperation Association. He emphasized the importance of advancing science and technology in collaboration with the local community. President Yoshida expressed his gratitude, acknowledging the Foundation's support for university researchers and reaffirming the university's commitment to promoting regional science and technology and nurturing talent through the donated funds.
This generous contribution will be carefully utilized to further strengthen industry-government-academia collaboration, implement research outcomes in society, and foster the next generation of researchers--building a university that grows together with the region.
