President of Chiang Mai University, the Kingdom of Thailand visit Gifu University
On Thursday, October 9, 2005, six representatives from Chiang Mai University in the Kingdom of Thailand, including President Prof. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, visited Gifu University.
The friendly relationship between Gifu University and Chiang Mai University began in the 1980s through the active exchanges in the field of medicine. In 2003, the two universities signed the Memorandum of Agreement of Student and Faculty Exchange. Since then, mutual visits and exchanges have continued, and during this visit, a signing ceremony was held to renew the Agreement on Student and Faculty Exchanges.
At the ceremony, President YOSHIDA Kazuhiro of Gifu University expressed gratitude for the opportunity to strengthen collaboration between the two universities. Later, discussions were held on further cooperation in a wide range of fields, including medicine, engineering, and agriculture.
With the renewal of the agreement, Gifu University and Chiang Mai University will further deepen student and academic exchanges and promote educational and research collaboration.
