Wellness Event "Wellness Day × Connecting Through the Power of Nutrition" Held
On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, the Health Administration Center, in collaboration with Gifu University Co-op Student Committee, hosted the wellness event "Wellness Day × Connecting Through the Power of Nutrition."
The "Connecting Through the Power of Nutrition Project" is an initiative led by the Japan Nutrition Practical Science Strategy Organization, in partnership with companies and organizations. The project aims to address nutritional challenges both in Japan and abroad through collaboration with registered dietitians and nutritionists.
In its third year, this event featured a variety of activities, including a nutrition seminar by a registered dietitian, a heatstroke prevention seminar by public health nurses and nurses, and a dietary balance check using the "Shokuiku (dietary education) SAT System," which calculates nutritional values simply by placing food models on a sensor. Additionally, over 600 kiwi fruits provided by sponsoring companies and health promotion materials produced by the Organization were distributed free of charge. The event was very well received by students, with all giveaways quickly taken. Some participants joined for the third consecutive year, many expressing hopes for the event to continue in the future.
We hope this event has deepened participants' interest and understanding of nutrition and will positively influence their daily eating habits.
The Health Administration Center and the University Co-op Student Committee have also opened a 'Wellness Room' in front of the University Co-op Central Store. Under the concept of "Bringing health closer and more accessible to everyone," the room offers body composition measurements and displays a variety of health-related educational materials. We will continue to support the well-being and healthy lifestyles of all members of the Gifu University community.
