Associate Prof. Dr. Monika Maziukiene from KTU and Research Associate Dr. Raminta Skvorčinskienė Visit Gifu University
On Monday, June 9 and Tuesday, 10, 2025, the "Lithuania-Japan Business Forum" and the "Lithuania-Japan Science Forum" were held in Tokyo. Following the events, Associate Prof. Dr. Monika Maziukiene from Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), and Research Associate Dr. Raminta Skvorčinskienė from the Lithuanian Energy Institute, the Republic of Lithuania visited Gifu University on Tuesday, June 17.
During their visit, Dr. Maziukiene and Dr. Skvorčinskienė met with Vice President LIM Lee Wah (Global Outreach, Diversity, Gender and Library) and Professor MOURI Tetsuya from the Faculty of Engineering. They received an overview of Gifu University and Gifu Prefecture and engaged in discussions on the university's research activities, partnership with the Gifu Prefectural Government, as well as mechanical engineering. The visit also included tours of research laboratories in the Faculty of Engineering and the Intelligent Production Technology Research & Development Center for Aerospace (IPTeCA) on campus, which helped them develop their understanding of university's ongoing education and research initiatives.
Gifu University signed an academic exchange agreement with KTU in April 2010. We look forward to continuing active exchange of students and researchers between Lithuania and Gifu University for many years to come.
