Mid-term Presentation for the Next-Generation Regional Leader Fostering Program
The Center for Collaborative Study with Community at Gifu University held the 'Mid-term Presentation for the Next-Generation Regional Leader Fostering Program on Thursday, August 8, 2024.
The program, which has been implemented since the 2015, aims to develop and produce individuals who can actively work and demonstrate leadership in the community, as well as those who can support leaders. Students take courses in areas of interest from the leadership development courses in 'Community,' 'Industry,' 'Education,' 'Environment,' and 'Glocal.' They form teams with other students in the same course and engage in practical problem-solving through site visits, fieldwork, and lectures from host organizations and companies.
At the mid-term presentation, each team presented the content and lessons learned from their activities in the first half of the program and their outlook for the second half. By having joint presentations across different courses, it provided a valuable opportunity for exchanging opinions and engaging in Q&A sessions beyond the boundaries of each course, which allowed for mutual learning among students. Representatives from partner companies, local governments, and organizations that have been supporting each team also attended the event, providing a wealth of professional advice.
