Mr. AKAMATSU Ryoichi, a Graduate of Gifu University Graduate School of Education, Achieved an Impressive 5th Place Finish at the Paris Olympics!
Mr. AKAMATSU Ryoichi, who graduated from Gifu University Graduate School of Education in 2020 (currently affiliated with SEIBU PRINCE and a research student at Gifu University Graduate School of Medicine) achieved a remarkable 5th place in the men's high jump at the "Paris 2024 Olympic Games," the first for a Japanese athlete in 88 years. He set a personal best record of 2.31 meters on the stage of the Olympics. On behalf of Gifu University, we extend our highest praise to Mr. Akamatsu and Coach HAYASHI Ryohei (Associate Professor of Health and Physical Education at the Faculty of Education) for their tireless efforts and remarkable success.
