On Tuesday, May 2, 2023, H.E. Mr. Rachad BOUHLAL, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco to Japan paid a courtesy call on Gifu University.

After the meeting with Gifu University board members (President YOSHIDA Kazuhiro, Vice President SUGIYAMA Makoto (General Manager, Evaluation, General Affairs, Public Relations and Fund), Vice President KAMBARA Shinji (International Affairs, Information and Deputy in Charge for Evaluation), and Executive Director KOYAMA Hiroyuki of GU-GLOCAL), H.E.Mr. Rachad BOUHLAL was invited to inspect the two major research facilities on campus; they are "Intelligent Production Technology Research & Development Center for Aerospace," and "Institute for Glyco-core Research (iGCORE)."

In the meeting with the board members, H.E.Mr. Rachad BOUHLAL was introduced the overview of Gifu University. Later, His Excellency and the board members talked about the nature, energy policies, industries and businesses, and university education in the Kingdom of Morocco. They also discussed the possibilities of building a partnership between Gifu University and universities in Morocco in the future.

It is our strong hope that the visit by H.E.Mr. Rachad BOUHLAL to Gifu University marks a big milestone to initiate active interactions among students and researchers between the two countries.
