GU accepts a letter of request for human resource development

Gifu University accepted a letter of request concerning the creation of a new graduate school from four business organizations (Japan Agricultural Cooperatives (JA) Gifu, Gifu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gifu Employer's Association, and Gifu Association of Corporate Executives). These organizations are hoping that Gifu University will take a strong lead in the development of human resources in business management because Japan needs young talent who possess management skills and expertise in multiple sectors including agricultural business. The nation also needs individuals who can demonstrate leadership in addressing regional challenges. Such leadership quality is indispensable to sustainable growth of the regional economy and the maintenance of traditional family businesses.

The letter of request was formulated by the four business organizations in hopes that Gifu University plays a pivotal role in helping help local businesses to secure the necessary personnel. The University is expected to continue fostering young talent who can dedicate to their community in times when the socioeconomic situation in Japan is rapidly changing represented by a shrinking population, low birthrate and aging.

Gifu University focuses on various research initiatives to educate students to become highly skilled professionals, and as an academic hub for the community, the University continues to work for regional revitalization through its commitment to implementing community-oriented internationalization programs.

To meet the requests from the business organizations, Gifu University speeds up a plan for the establishment of a new graduate school in the field of business management.
