On Friday, December 17, 2021, Gifu University was donated boxes of beakers and flasks from Sibata Scientific Technology Ltd. (headquarters: Tokyo) on the occasion of 100th anniversary of the company's founding.

Vice President Wang Zhigang (Academic Research, Industry-Academia Collaboration and Information) expressed his congratulations on the 100th anniversary to the representatives of the company who visited the campus and said, "Experiments are crucial for students who are studying chemistry. I feel so grateful for the company's generous donation of beakers and flasks for our students." Each item was distributed to the individual faculties at a later date.

In the meeting between Gifu University staff and the representatives, Dr. Shigeru Nakashima, Dean of the Graduate School of Medicine showed the representatives the conical flasks which have been well taken care of for more than 20 years. The representatives looked very surprised and impressed with the way each equipment is handled with extreme care.

In the meeting with Professor Toshiaki Murai, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, they also talked about some environmental measuring instruments. Because their research funds are limited, young researchers were particularly appreciative of the latest donation.
