Acceptance Ceremony for Student Support Project 2020

On August 6, 2020, the Career Education Division of the Organization for Promotion of Higher Education and Student Support (ORPHESS) held an acceptance ceremony for "Support Project to Enhance Students' Basic Skills 2020"

"Support Project to Enhance Students' Basic Skills 2020" pursues the following two goals: support students' autonomous activities for fulfilling campus life, assist implementation of attractive, creative projects to enhance students' three basic skills ("thinking," "communications" and "making progress") all of which are the skills that the Gifu University students are expected to develop.

There were seven applications for this project. Of them, four were accepted: a career support program for medical students, Bangaike Pond Regeneration Project 2020, an online student support program, and "Welcome to Gifu! (media report on Gifu's attractions)" program. Students will work for these projects until January, 2021.

At the ceremony, Director Toshihiro Yamada of the Liberal Arts Education Center of ORPHESS handed out acceptance certificates to the representatives of four projects.

The following are the comments of some students: "I am glad to know that the university has a system by which students can translate their dreams into reality," "I had many opportunities to exchange information with people I met through our project," "I remain highly motivated for realization our project goals," and "I am very happy with my meeting with lots of ambitious, like-minded people."
