Mask Donation from Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Nagoya

On Tuesday, May 19, 2020, Gifu University received 250 medical masks and 400 pieces of wet tissue from the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Nagoya. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic still raging around the world, the donation was made by Consul General Liu Xiaojun to repay the gratitude for Japan and the Japanese people who offered medical assistance to the people of China when the infections began spreading in the country.

Gifu University has forged a close tie with China by concluding ten partnership agreements with Chinese universities (Guangxi University, Zhejiang University, etc. as of June 1, 2020). We have been witnessing active exchanges among students, academic and administrative staff with these partner universities for many years.

The medical masks were distributed to the University Hospital, and medical staff are expressing their deep appreciation to the kind donation from the Consulate-General.
