Members of the Federation of Industry & Commerce of North Easter Region (FINER, India) took part in a company inspection tour hosted by Gifu University Organization for Promotion of Glocalization (GU-GLOCAL) from November 10 through 15, 2019.

The tour set the first milestone for "Giving back to the community," a major pillar of newly launched international Joint Degree (JD) programs between Gifu University and Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG, India) in April, 2019.

On November 11, FINER members paid a courtesy call on Mayor of Hashima City and the representatives of Hashima City Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Textile Material Center, Hashima City, Gifu Prefecture. They went on to inspect 13 firms and enterprises in Gifu, Aichi prefectures and Tokyo during their stay in Japan. All the members expressed their appreciation for the opportunities to discuss future business activities between Japan and the north eastern region in India.

GU-GLOCAL continues to carry out various programs and projects to further advance internationalization and contribution to local communities.
