Bus Departure Ceremony for "Business Training" of Industry, Academia, Banking Institution and Government Collaboration Region-Based Human Resource Development Project

On October 17, 2019, a Bus Departure Ceremony for "Business Training" of Industry, Academia, Banking Institution and Government Collaboration Region-Based Human Resource Development Project was held at the rotary in front of Yanagido Kaikan Hall, Gifu University.

It was held prior to the opening of business training which is forming a part of "Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Course" of the Faculty of Engineering. This course is designed to assist students who will undergo a long-term practical training at manufacturing /production sites.

The project is included in the Industry, Academia, Banking Institution and Government Collaboration Region-based Human Resource Development Project of Gifu Prefectural Government. Its primary goal is to convey the real charms and attractions of Gifu industries to GU students, and encourage them to find jobs within Gifu Prefecture. A total of 140 third year students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering will attend the program this year.

On behalf of 15 companies in Gifu Prefecture, Mr. Tomohiko Okamoto, President of NABEYA Co., Ltd., gave the following words of encouragement to the departing students: "There are a number of companies in Gifu which stand out for their distinctive products, services or business operations. Please acknowledge the differences from those found in major firms, and learn practical skills through close communications with young and senior employees."

"I would like to express my deep appreciation for the opportunity of taking part in the program as it will guide us to determine our future careers, help our job-seeking and growth as responsible members of society. We all do our best in attending and completing the program," said Mr. Kyohei Mizuno (3rd year student, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering). The training continues for about six months, and the report session by the participating students is scheduled in January, 2020.
