All four students paid a courtesy call on President Hisataka Moriwaki on July 9 prior to their departure. They spoke about why they chose to study food science and technology and their expectations of studying at IITG. President Moriwaki gave the following remarks of encouragement: "While you are at IITG, please work the hardest towards your goals.
