The 1st Center for Collaborative Study with Community Regional Cooperation Council was held on July 20, 2018. The council was established in 2018 to implement collaborative programs/projects in cooperation with local municipalities (Gifu Prefecture and five cities and one town (Gifu, Takayama, Gujo, Nakatsugawa, Hashima cities, and Ginan Town). The center sends its staff to these municipalities to carry out collaborative work. The following were agenda discussed at the council:

1. Gifu University COC (Center of Community) Program in 2018

2. Community collaboration programs (regional coordinators' activities, local municipalities' initiatives)

3. Development of satellite functions (teleconferencing)

The 2nd council is scheduled to be convened in late February, 2019 and the appointed regional coordinators will give their activity reports in the council.
