A trainee from Morocco makes a presentation at Gifu Prefectural Government

On October 23, 2015, Mr. Seif-eddine Cherif of Mohammed the First University, Kingdom of Morocco made a presentation for the Gifu Prefectural Government officials at Gifu Prefectural Government. He was researching at Gifu University as a trainee of the Project for Technical Cooperation for Seismic Disaster in Oujda-Angad Prefecture, Morocco, which is one of the 2015 Local Government International Cooperation Promotion Programs sponsored by the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR). Dr. Fumiaki Suzuki, Executive Director for International Affairs and Public Relations and Dr. Nobuoto Nojima, professor of the Faculty of Engineering, Gifu University attended the presentation. Dr. Nojima was supervising Mr. Cherif during the Program.

In the presentation, Mr. Cherif spoke about his research work, contents of the lectures he attended and impressions about the enterprises and facilities he visited, and wrapped up his two-month long program in Japan.

Mr. Cherif concluded his speech by expressing his strong intention to continue his research on countermeasures against earthquakes as well as his hope to make the best use of his knowledge obtained through his training session for his home country after returning home.
