Delegation of Chulalongkorn University, Thailand Makes a Courtesy Visit to President Moriwaki of Gifu University

The six delegates of Chulalongkorn University, Thailand including Assistant Prof.Dr. Tosak Seelanan, Director of Biological Sciences Ph.D. Program made a courtesy visit to President Hisataka Moriwaki of Gifu University on Wednesday, 2nd July, 2014.
Dr. Fumiaki Suzuki, Executive Director in charge of International Affairs and Public Relations, Dr. Masateru Senge, Dean of the United Graduate of School of Agricultural Science (UGSAS) and Dr. Akira Komiyama of the Faculty of Applied Biological Sciences of Gifu University were present in the meeting.
The Faculty of Science of Chulalongkorn University already concluded the faculty-level agreements with the Faculty of Applied Biological Sciences and UGUSAS respectively. One of the delegates who graduated from UGSAS successfully landed a teaching profession at Chulalongkorn University and thanks to her role as a bridge, researcher exchanges have been actively promoted between the two universities over the years.
In the courtesy meeting, the participants discussed the possibilities of elevating the current faculty-level agreements up to the university-level agreement, and cooperation between Chulalongkorn University Hospital and Gifu University Hospital in the near future.
Later in the meeting, President Moriwaki presented Dr. Seelanan with a mino-washi Japanese paper-shade lantern and in return, Dr. Seelanan handed a Chulalongkorn University plaque to President Moriwaki.
All the participants enjoyed fruitful discussions in a friendly atmosphere throughout the meeting.
