On April 19, 2017, the 1^st Press Conference by the President for AY 2017 was held.

First, President Hisataka Moriwaki explained about new activities and programs of "Gifu University Future Vision Toward 2025" starting from April 1, 2017 by referring to progress and achievements made by the university until March 31, 2017. He stated them in detail by pointing the poster for the audience.

Later, he spoke about Gifu University's land utilization plans and their implementation including establishment of Gifu Prefecture Central Livestock Hygiene Service Center and Gifu Prefecture Food Science Research Center (name tentative) within campus.
