Result Briefing for Business Training of Industry, Academia, Banking Institution and Government Collaboration Region-Based Human Resource Development Project is held
On February 2, 2017, as part of the Business Training of Industry, Academia, Banking Institution and Government Collaboration Region-Based Human Resource Development Project, all 3rd year students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering (a total of 160 students) of Gifu University made presentations at a result briefing held at Grand Vert GIZAN, Gifu City.
Through partnership among business, academia, banking institutions, Gifu Prefecture has been promoting the Business Training of Industry, Academia, Banking Institution and Government Collaboration Region-Based Human Resource Development Project. Its objectives are to support endeavor for securing, fostering and settling of highly-skilled professionals at enterprises within Gifu Prefecture, and to revitalize regional economies. The students of the Faculty of Engineering who are taking the subject of "mechanical engineering exercise" took part in the six-month long lectures and practical training in groups offered by local companies within Gifu Prefecture. On February 2, the students made presentations about their experiences at these companies.
First, Professor Wang Zhigang, Vice President for Industry-Government-Academia Collaboration of Gifu University and Mr. Tomohiko Okamoto, President of NABEYA, CO., LTD. gave an opening speech respectively. Then, a total of 25 student groups made their presentations in turn (slide-show presentations). Later, a poster session was held at a different venue at Grand Vert GIZAN. The students gave an explanation about their activities to the visitors in front of the posters of their own making.
After the session, the students said, "We felt a huge advantage of local companies within Gifu Prefecture first-hand," "I got the feeling of working as a full member of society after taking part in a problem-solving training."
