Cooperation Agreement between Gifu University and Tokai Regional Agricultural Administration Office (Nagoya), Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is signed

On February 7, 2017, Gifu University and the Tokai Regional Agricultural Administration Office (Nagoya), the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, signed a Cooperation Agreement for promotion of human resource development and rural development initiatives.

The two institutions have already closely cooperated in multiple fields but the signing of this new cooperation agreement is expected to forge a stronger, comprehensive partnership between the two long into the future.

In the signing ceremony, Mr. Yoshitaka Tanabe, Director-General of the Tokai Regional Agricultural Administration Office said, "We would like to venture into much more diverse fields of research and work by using this cooperation agreement with Gifu University as a jump-start on a number of new programs." President Hisataka Moriwaki said in reply to Mr. Tanabe, "I hope we could build an extensive framework of collaboration based on the existing joint activities and projects."

After the signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement, a separate alliance agreement was signed by the officials of the Faculty of Applied Biological Sciences of Gifu University, and the Rural Development Section of the Tokai Regional Agricultural Administration Office.

It is hoped that Gifu University and the Tokai Regional Agricultural Administration Office will establish a robust relationship and continue to develop it in a sustainable and expansive way in the days ahead.
