The Faculty of Education holds a Special Seminar titled, "Future Direction for Faculty of Teachers Training and Graduate School of National University"

On January 18, 2017, the Faculty of Education held a special seminar titled, "Future Direction for Faculty of Teachers Training and Graduate School of National University" by inviting Mr. Koji Yanagisawa with the University Promotion Division, the Higher Education Bureau of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) as a guest speaker. The target audience were the staff of the faculty of education, graduate school of education, vice principals of education faculty-affiliated schools. About 100 people including teaching and administrative staff joined the seminar.

During his speech, Mr. Yanagisawa said, "We now live in an era of rapid change. Schools and students' ways of studying are constantly changing. University teachers who are at the very source of such changes, are expected to become fully aware how best they can stay connected to society and keep on transforming themselves to adapt dynamic societal changes and meet the needs of local residents."

People in attendance were given a chance to contemplate the future direction for universities and graduate schools to live up to the expectations of the public for more accessible universities which can provide both subject study and interdisciplinary study opportunities to students.
