The 9th Press Conference by the President is held

On January 18, 2017, Gifu University held the 9th Press Conference by the President.

First, President Hisataka Moriwaki gave a summary of "Strengthen functions of Training Course for School Teachers" of "Gifu University Future Vision Toward 2025."
Next, Professor Naotake Iketani, Dean of the Faculty of Education explained the details of the training course for school teachers of the Faculty of Education. After his explanation, Professor Eiji Kasai and his two students of the Faculty of Education introduced "The 65th Graduation and Completion Work Exhibition of Art Education Course of Faculty of Education / The 10th Student Work Exhibition / Gifu University Art Festival." This event offers the Faculty students an opportunity to make presentations about their study and research achievements at the university.

With regard to the this event, Professor Kasai said, "The Graduation and Completion Work Exhibition continues to be held since the establishment of the Faculty of Education with a view to publicizing the results of our educational research activities in the Art Education Course. We will mark the 65th anniversary of the event this time. To fulfill our social responsibilities, the teaching staff and the students join hands in creating many more fine art works." Ms. Yuki Yoshimoto, a 4th year student of the Faculty of Education (major: Art Education Course) followed him and said, "I portrayed an image of my classmate who inspired me a lot to become a teacher together. I try not to forget the enthusiasm I had in mind while drawing this painting, and now I am ready to get into the real world." She said this while standing in front of her oil painting. Lastly, Ms. Maya Noritake, a 2nd year student of Master's Program of the Graduate School of Education (major: Art) made the following comment with holding her works in her hand; "I made all these works through many talks with the students at the Music Education Course, and it was a great experience for me. I would like to continue to produce a lot more works even after starting to work as a teacher.

In "The 65th Graduation and Completion Work Exhibition of Art Education Course of Faculty of Education / The 10th Student Work Exhibition / Gifu University Art Festival," in addition of the work exhibition, the Music Education Course students will hold a graduation music concert. We sincerely hope that many people come to see their art works and listen to their music performances, the fruit of the students' endeavors for improvements.
