The number of responses to calls for service for Heli ambulance called "Doctor Heli" exceeds 2,000

On July 23, 2016, the number of responses to calls for service for Heli ambulance called "Doctor Heli," exceeded 2,000 since the start of its operation in February 2011.

Medical service by the Doctor Heli covers the whole regions of Gifu Prefecture, one of the largest coverage in Japan, and is sent to accident sites at emergency requests of 22 fire stations within the Prefecture. Its destinations vary from cities, towns, 3,000 meter high of mountains, ski resorts to golf courses.

The operation of Doctor Heli is an "ultimate team medicine" among the prefectural government, fire stations, a helicopter operation and maintenance company, Gifu University Hospital, local hospitals and residents.

We, the crew of Doctor Heli continue to make every effort to save people's life with the number of responses to calls for service increasing to 5,000 and beyond.
