Cooperation Agreement between Gifu University and Yamagata City

On July 1, 2016, Gifu University and Yamagata City, Gifu Prefecture signed a Cooperation Agreement. By forming a comprehensive partnership in multiple fields, and deepening sustainable and extensive collaboration between the two organizations, the Agreement aims to achieve the following goals:
-Building a dynamic local community and promotion of its growth
-Development of human resources for the next generation, and
-Promotion of educational and cultural activities of citizens

By the latest signing between Gifu University and Yamagata City, Gifu University now has cooperation agreements with 17 municipal governments.

At the signing ceremony held at the Yamagata City Government building, Mr. Hiromasa Hayashi, Mayor of Yamagata City said, "The conclusion of the Cooperation Agreement between Gifu University and Yamagata City will create another window of opportunity for the city employees to address issues and implement policies for the citizens. We would like to disseminate any achievements made under the Agreement to the public." President Hisataka Moriwaki replied to Mr. Hayashi, "Gifu University and Yamagata City have been working together for years for various projects, and under this new Agreement, the Center for Collaborative Study with Community of Gifu University will play a central role in strengthening ties and join hands in developing human resources for the two organizations."

Gifu University and Yamagata City will continue to hold discussions for specific collaborative programs under the new Cooperation Agreement.
