Faculty of Education: Faculty Member Commendation for Excellence

On October 1, the Faculty of Education presented Mr. Katsuhiko Fujisawa, a teacher at the Education Faculty-Affiliated Junior High School, with a commendation for excellence. This commendation is bestowed upon members of the Education Faculty-Affiliated Elementary and Junior High Schools who have made outstanding achievements and whose work is deemed exemplary for other faculty members.

This commendation was given to Mr. Fujisawa in recognition of his accomplishments during his four-year tenure at the Elementary School and six-year tenure at the Junior High School, including the fact that he found solutions to a multitude of educational issues, made contributions to the quality of education at these schools, helped the Affiliated Junior High School chorus win the first prize in the Tokai-Hokuriku Bloc of the 2013 Nationwide Contest of Music sponsored by NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation), led them to the national competition. He played a central role in facilitating the growth of all students at the Affiliated Junior High School, where the chorus is a key component of class development.

After Dean Naotake Iketani of the Faculty of Education presented Mr. Fujisawa with a Certificate of Commendation for Excellence, he outlined Mr. Fujisawa's achievements and noted his desire for continued contributions and accomplishments on the part of Mr. Fujisawa.
