We intend to put our all efforts in setting up occasions where local people and students can discuss the problems of the community, so that we can discover the actions we should take to address them." President Hisataka Moriwaki commented, "Minokamo City is a major city of the Chuno region of Gifu Prefecture, and has various prominent features in history, industry and agriculture. Concluding the agreement with Minokamo City is an honor for Gifu University, and we consider it important for our educational and research activities. I hope that this agreement will accelerate further cooperation."

Gifu University and Minokamo City will jointly provide venues of dialog between the students and local people, called "Gifu Future Center," and organize and provide systematic training for city officials.
