The 4th Press Conference by the President

The 4th Press Conference by the president was held on July 15.

At the beginning of the conference, President Hisataka Moriwaki introduced Gifu University team's latest winning of Kitamura Commemorative Prize, and the completion of Academic Commons in relation to "Gifu University's Future Visions for the Year 2025."

After the President's speech, Associate Professor Yoshifumi Demura, Associate Professor Koji Kamiya of the Faculty of Engineering and the students of the Department of Civil Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering reported that they won Kitamura Commemorative Prize at the Design Competition of Public Policy organized by the Committee of Infrastructure Planning and Management on July 6 and 7. Their pioneering concept of groundwater use for regional revitalization earned the team the prestigious prize in public policy this time.
Associate Professor Daisuke Hirouchi then spoke about the completion of Academic Commons which consists of three different spaces; Academic Core, Active Learning and Media Commons at Gifu University. All of them are designed to offer comprehensive academic support for the students.

In the following question and answer session, a lively back-and-forth took place between the University officials and the reporters.
The 4th Press Conference by the president became another opportunity for the University to disseminate campus information extensively to the public.
