First-year student of the graduate school expresses his determination

 Gifu University entrance ceremony was held at Nagaragawa Convention Center on Tuesday, April 7th. There are 1,352 students enrolled as freshmen and 586 enrolled as first-year students of the graduate schools.

 Firstly, President Hisataka Moriwaki gave the following words of encouragement to the freshmen: I wish you all have the goal of becoming a person who can contribute to society both at home and abroad, in whichever field or subject you choose. Then, the President offered the message to the first-year students of the graduate schools: I hope you have a concrete vision of your future to become a highly-skilled professional, or to succeed as a researcher. With this in mind, please enjoy your life and make the best use of this invaluable opportunity to study at Gifu University.

 On behalf of the students, Mr. Shogo Yoshikawa, a freshman of the Faculty of Engineering, and Mr. Jumpei Norisada, a first-year student of the United Graduate School of Drug Discovery and Medical Information Sciences, expressed their hopes and determinations of studying at Gifu University.

 On Friday, April 10th, the entrance ceremony for both the United Graduate School of Agricultural Science (UGSAS) and the United Graduate School of Veterinary Sciences (UGSVS) was held at Gifu University Auditorium. President Moriwaki gave a word of encouragement to the newly enrolled 45 students at UGSAS and UGSVS.
