Delegation from University of Campinas, Brazil visits Gifu University

Professor Carlos Suzuki (Advisor, International Relations, University of Campinas), Professor Luiz Rodrigues, Professor Rafael Ribeiro and Assistant Professor Carla Cavaliero of University of Campinas, and Assistant Professor Vassiliki Boulomytis of Sao Paulo Federal Education Science and Technology University, Brazil visited Gifu University on Tuesday, February 17th, 2015. They made a courtesy visit to President Hisataka Moriwaki, Dr. Fumiaki Suzuki, Executive Director in charge of International Affairs and Public Relations, Professor Hiroshi Moritomi and Professor Tomonao Kobayashi of the Faculty of Engineering.
University of Campinas is a state-run university located about 16km north of Campinas City, one of the hubs for education, industries and finances in Brazil. The university is renowned for its well-balanced research and education activities and is recognized as one of the most prominent academic institutions within the country.
University of Campinas and Gifu University concluded the Agreement for Exchange Program on August 27th, 1984, and the university is the oldest overseas partner university for Gifu University.
In the meeting with the President, the participants talked about three students of Gifu University who studied at University of Campinas this summer. They also discussed further acceleration of faculty and student exchanges between University of Campinas and Gifu University for the future.
