Students selected under the TOBITATE! Young Ambassador Program visit Gifu University President Moriwaki

Students selected under the TOBITATE! Young Ambassador Program visited Gifu University President Hisataka Moriwaki on Thursday, September 4.

The TOBITATE! Young Ambassador Program is the Japan Public-Private Partnership Student Study Abroad Program that the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology launched this year with the cooperation of private enterprises. 3 Gifu University students, Mr. Yoshihiro Harano (4th year of Medical Course, School of Medicine), Mr. Kazumi Okada and Mr. Kiyotada Naito (2nd year of Veterinary Science Course, United Graduate School of Veterinary Sciences), were selected as the first-year students for the program.

President Moriwaki encouraged the students to learn a lot and do their best in each country as a representative of Gifu University students. The President also expects the students to make full use of their overseas experience after returning to Japan. Responding to that, the students expressed their strong will to study hard although it would be a big challenge for them as it is the first time to stay abroad for such a long time.
The students will study and do research in their respective fields for carrying out their own study plan and gain valuable experience overseas. Mr. Harano will study in Canada and both Mr. Okada and Mr. Naito are going to Australia.
